Our head chef Daniel has carefully crafted our menu to make the most of our fortunate position here in the heart of Angus. Our dishes incorporate the very finest produce locally farmed and delivered fresh to the restaurant, whether that be fresh free-range eggs from Craignathro Farm at Balmashanner, delicious Aberdeen Angus steaks butchered by Alan Rennie’s or fresh dairy produce from North Street Dairy. Every dish, every sauce, every dessert is prepared from scratch on the premises, ensuring the highest quality every time you visit. It also means we can cater for your dietary requirements by modifying any of our dishes so please let our team know if you have any dietary restrictions.

Starters

  • Salt & Chilli Squid

    Crisp and spicy, with sriracha nigella seed sesame, charred lime and allioli. There is an instant kick from the spices which fades to leave the delicious lingering flavours of lime and allioli.
  • Beetroot & Whisky Salmon

    We cure our salmon in fresh pressed beetroot and Glayva with extra orange peel for a balance of sweet, earthy and zesty. Served sliced with lemongrass, ginger, beetroot and pickled cucumber.
  • Gochujang Cauliflower

    Gochujang glazed cauliflower, zesty lime yoghurt cools the heat of the skicky Korean spice. Finished with fresh coriander and sesame to round off the dish.
  • Tarte Flambée

Mains

  • Fish ‘N’ Chips

    Freshly landed Scottish Coley in a crisp lemon batter, Cashley’s hand-cut chips, lime mayonnaise, dressed garden peas, pickled shallots and charred lime. These intricate flavours have been carefully selected to enhance the dish without overpowering the uniquely delicate flavour of the coley. A mouth-watering twist on an old favourite.
  • Chicken Alfredo

    This is such a simple dish, traditionally consisting of only fresh pasta, butter and parmesan. We keep it authentic but toss through some thyme and garlic roast chicken thigh for extra oomph! Finished with black pepper, chives and a drizzle of truffle oil and more parmesan! This ones for the hungry.
  • Seabass

    A dish that hits you hard in the tastebuds. We pair wild caught sea bass landed in Peterhead with smoky chorizo, potatas bravas, coriander emulsion, charred lime and fresh pico de gallo. The unparalleled excellence of Scottish seafood is encapsulated in this scrumptious dish. Enjoy.
  • The Burger

    For some, the humble burger is nothing to get excited about. Lucky for you, we don’t do humdrum! Our custom blend of the best local Angus beef uses locally butchered cuts from the skirt and short rib to get the perfect balance of flavour and succulence every time. Our chefs hand-make each burger patty on the premises, ensuring the perfect consistency and seasoning. Mayonnaise, lettuce, pickles and smoked bacon jam, rooster chips and crunchy slaw combine to make the dish a mouth-watering feast. We’d like to think it’s the best burger you’ve ever tasted - let us know!
  • Beef Featherblade

    Angus beef at its finest. The deep bold flavours of red meat are perfectly complemented by the carrot and burnt butter puree, cavolo nero, maragh dubh, sweet baby carrots,fondant potatoes, glazed shallot and jus. This is our head chef’s signature dish and we are sure you’ll love it.

    An indulgent dessert that's a must try, even if you don't have room! Served with today's ice cream, the nostalgic, silky parma violet perfectly offsets the rich, heavenly dark chocolate.
  • Sticky Toffee Twist with Pecan & Caramelised Banana

    Who doesn’t love sticky toffee? Throw in one of your five-a-day with our caramelised banana and it’s a (almost!) guilt-free dessert . Topped off with this evenings ice cream.
  • Lemon Meringue Pie, Raspberry & Basil

    Our chef’s own creation, the raspberry basil mousse is a surprisingly moreish taste sensation that sits beautifully with our hand-fired lemon meringue. Be warned though, one might not be enough!

Sunday High Tea

We love a high tea here at Cashley’s and when it comes to the cakes we have you covered! Don’t be shy, our cake table is “all you can eat”.

  • The Burger

    For our custom blend of the best local Angus beef we use cuts from the shoulder and navel end brisket to get the perfect balance of flavour and succulence every time. Each Patty is hand made on the premises, ensuring the perfect consistency and seasoning. Smoked bacon jam, lettuce, our house burger sauce, pickles, Cashley's chips and crunchy slaw combine to make the dish a mouth-watering feast.
  • Steak Pie

    We don’t do average here so although it may seem like a humble steak pie we use the best local beef available, so local you probably know the farmer! Slowly cooked with sweet shallot, garlic and fresh thyme and finished with a dash of full bodied red wine, cooked under a buttery puff pastry and served with the best seasonal vegetables, generously buttered and our Cashley’s chips.
