Our head chef Daniel has carefully crafted our menu to make the most of our fortunate position here in the heart of Angus. Our dishes incorporate the very finest produce locally farmed and delivered fresh to the restaurant, whether that be fresh free-range eggs from Craignathro Farm at Balmashanner, delicious Aberdeen Angus steaks butchered by Alan Rennie’s or fresh dairy produce from North Street Dairy. Every dish, every sauce, every dessert is prepared from scratch on the premises, ensuring the highest quality every time you visit. It also means we can cater for your dietary requirements by modifying any of our dishes so please let our team know if you have any dietary restrictions.

For our vegan and vegetarian diners we have a seperate menu. Please ask your server.

Brunch - £7.50

  • Corn Fritters

    Sweet and salty corn pancakes doused in sweet chilli and topped with a fried egg seriously moreish
  • Columbian Eggs

    A colourful balance of spring onions and cherry tomatoes folded through creamy scrambled eggs seasoned with black pepper, served on toasted sourdough with fresh avocado. An everyday favourite!
  • Brioche French Toast

    Buttery brioche bread dipped then pan fried ‘till golden, with a classic bacon and maple combination
  • Avo & Egg

    A simple poached hens egg seasoned and set on sliced avocado with buttered sourdough toast, the original brunch
  • Eggs Benedict

    Perfectly poached hens egg on lightly toasted sourdough bread with smoked bacon and our classic hollandaise sauce
  • Buttermilk Hotcakes

    Decadent buttermilk pancakes dressed in our zesty lemon curd finished with fresh berries and house granola for extra crunch, the perfect balance of sweetness and goodness.

Starters

  • Smoked Ham Hock

    Crisp hock of ham with our hand-made dill pickle, pea & mustard sauce, lemon, shallot and garden pea. The depth of flavour from our ham is contrasted by the tangy, textured pickle and the zing of lemon and shallot.
  • Buffalo Mozzarella

    We pair this soft creamy cheese with fresh cracked black pepper and an array of seasonal accompaniments to compliment this stunning cheese.
  • Salt & Chilli Squid

    Crisp and spicy, with sriracha nigella seed sesame, charred lime and allioli. There is an instant kick from the spices which fades to leave the delicious lingering flavours of lime and allioli.
  • Tarte Flambée

    Our famous Tarte Flambée is a traditional Alsatian specialty. A thin dough base topped with a creamy, indulgent sauce and a variety of toppings. Choose one of our four combinations.

Mains

  • The Burger

    For some, the humble burger is nothing to get excited about. Lucky for you, we don’t do humdrum! Our custom blend of the best local Angus beef uses locally butchered cuts from the shoulder and navel end brisket to get the perfect balance of flavour and succulence every time. Our chefs hand-make each burger patty on the premises, ensuring the perfect consistency and seasoning. Sticky caramelised onion, smoked bacon jam, rooster chips and crunchy slaw combine to make the dish a mouth-watering feast. We’d like to think it’s the best burger you’ve ever tasted - let us know!
  • Beef Featherblade

    Angus beef at its finest. The deep bold flavours of red meat are perfectly complemented by the carrot and anise puree, cavolo nero, maragh dubh, sweet stem broccoli,fondant potatoes, glazed shallot and jus. This is our head chef’s signature dish and we are sure you’ll love it.
  • Seabass

    A dish that hits you hard in the tastebuds. We pair wild caught sea bass landed in Peterhead with smoky chorizo, potatas bravas, coriander emulsion, charred lime and fresh pico de gallo. The unparalleled excellence of Scottish seafood is encapsulated in this scrumptious dish. Enjoy.
  • Chicken Supreme

    For those in the know, Speyside black pudding is a fine Scottish secret that is unrivaled in “The Puddin’ Race”. That’s why we use it to crown the chicken of this dish. The sweet snap of sesame brittle offers the perfect lift and sits beautifully with the accompanying permutation of pomme purée, truffle, shimeji mushroom and jus, bringing a wide array of glorious flavours to the plate. Try this and you may agree the haggis has been toppled!
  • Fish ‘N’ Chips

    Freshly landed Scottish Hake in a crisp lemon batter, Cashley’s hand-cut chips, lime mayonnaise, dressed garden peas, pickled shallots and charred lime. These intricate flavours have been carefully selected to enhance the dish without overpowering the uniquely delicate flavour of the hake. A mouth-watering twist on an old favourite.

    Local rump steak cooked how you love it. We rest our steaks & baste them in garlic & thyme butter for a sensational finish on a naturally delicious cut. Served with Cashley’s chips, salad garnish, slow roasted tomato & shallot.

Dessert

  • Lemon Meringue Pie with Basil Sorbet and Sesame

    Our chef’s own creation, the basil sorbet is a surprisingly more-ish taste sensation that sits beautifully with our hand-fired lemon meringue. Be warned though, one might not be enough!
  • Affogato with Amaretto Biscuit and Hazelnut

    A shot of our finest coffee to drizzle over home-made ice cream. An Italian classic that’s going down rather nicely over here too. We source our coffee from the delightful experts at Sacred Grounds roastery in Arbroath and match it with our chefs own ice-cream to create a flavour you’ll love.
  • Cheese Board

    A selection of the finest Scottish and continental cheeses. There’s enough to share, but why would you?
  • Sticky Toffee Twist with Pecan & Caramelised Banana

    Who doesn’t love sticky toffee? Throw in one of your five-a-day with our caramelised banana and it’s a (almost!) guilt-free dessert . Topped off with our home-made ice cream.
  • Dark Chocolate and Pistachio Delice

    An indulgent dessert that’s a must try, even if you don’t have room! Served with today’s ice cream, the nutty kick of pistachio perfectly offsets the silky, heavenly dark chocolate.

Sunday High Tea

We love a high tea here at Cashley’s and when it comes to the cakes we have you covered! Don’t be shy, our cake table is “all you can eat”.

    Enjoy our roast of the evening with all the best bits, yorkies, roasties and glazed vegetables doused in red wine jus. All our meat is locally sourced by Alan Rennie so you can tuck in knowing your in for a treat.

Finish with a cup of tea or sacred grounds coffee and a few trips to the cake table!
